MEET THE OWNER & LEAD PLANNER

Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm the owner of Lace & Brass Events. I live in the very northern tip of Wisconsin with my husband, son, daughter and chocolate lab. I absolutely love being a wife and mom! Some of my favorite things: traveling, everything outdoors, reading, crafting, collecting Lake Superior agates and hosting friends and family over.


I started Lace & Brass Events in 2014 and it has been a dream to see it grow. I absolutely love being a part of weddings. To see pure joy from the couple, family and friends is priceless. I spend all day running around and SMILING ear to ear. I am a huge proponent of couples getting married exactly how they want to. I genuinely care about my couples and that their wedding is everything they dreamed of!

Some of my favorite places we have had elopements: Madeline Island, Banff National Park in Canada, St. Croix River and Grand Marias, MN. 

Some of my dream places to plan an elopement: Key West, Colorado Springs (hello Sept 2024!) and New Orleans!

MEET THE COORDINATOR

Hello! My name is Chelsie and I am so happy to have been a part of Lace & Brass Events as a Wedding Coordinator since 2017. I grew up south of Duluth in Cloquet, finished my undergrad at UMD and spent a few years "discovering myself" in Minneapolis. I returned a few years later to be closer to family and start a cheerleading gym. I love the balance the Northland provides between urban and rural settings. I spend my days with my husband, daughter, son and our two fur babies.

 

When I'm not working events or coaching cheerleading you can find me immersed in digital marketing. I've previously done event coordination for other special event companies and am excited to be back into the heart-racing, joyous, chaotic world of event planning! I believe that every person, relationship, and marriage is different - and there is so much beauty to working closely with my clients to let every ounce of it shine through.

MEET THE COORDINATOR

Hi there! I‘m McKenzie, and I have worked with Lace & Brass Events as an assistant and coordinator since 2017. I graduated from UW-Stout with a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and work to assist individuals with disabilities in finding employment.

 

When I am not working my Monday-Friday job, I love spending time with my husband and our two fur babies, Odin & Pippa. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers, and binging a TV series on Netflix.

 

I am so proud to be a member of the LBE team and am excited to work with couples to make their dream wedding day come true! I love seeing the vision and plans of your special day come together and can’t wait to work with you!

AMAZING WEDDING PLANNER

I don’t even know where to begin. Emily helped my husband and I pull off the most magical day. Our original wedding date was set for 2020 but we unfortunately had to postpone due to Covid. Emily helped us every step of the way. She contacted all the vendors that we had already booked to make sure they were available on our date of 2021.

She was absolutely AMAZING on wedding day…helping organize people and keeping everything on schedule. This helped relieve so much stress. Another huge plus to hiring Emily is she has great resources when it comes to other amazing vendors. I can not say enough good things about Emily and Lace & Brass Events.
